Riotshield Expert Qualifications

Ok so sometimes I use a riotshield class and noticed there's an award for it, but it seems really vague and I'd like some clarification.

What exactly does it mean by "weapons allowed"... Does this mean secondary weapons only? Equipment? (C4, throwing knives, ect.) Or is overkill with a gun allowed? (which wouldn't make too much sense if its a riotshield specific medal)

Or is the 25 kills 10 deaths in one game 25 times just strictly shield bashing people?

Also off-topic but it'd be cool if there was a knifing only medal for combat knives/ballistic knives/tac knives. Just a suggestion there though.

Well technically you could do this in BF4 so it works where it is, regardless, it's whatever the award says. So if it says something isn't allowed then it's not allowed. If something you plan to use isn't mentioned in the award description then I'd say go for it but I could be wrong

Well that's just the thing. The description is so vague that it doesn't even mention the riot shield being used other than it being the name of the award hence the overall confusion. I'm assuming since it says weapons are allowed that means simply having the shield on your back and going 25-10 25x would get you the badge right? Idk.. I just feel that would be just like an extension of the expert in a way and that it should specifically just be riot shield and equipment. Not weapons. Maybe some clarification from Cheech or someone who specializes in the awards? Don't mean to stir the pot. Just asking for clarifications since I'm looking to hunt down as many awards as I can x)

yeah i feel you but Cheech designed this medal during Bl Ops 2 and he always used his to set up a portable 3rd wall in corners and shit, he didn't always just bash people and i think that was the spirit of the award here in CAG. could be wrong though. just my interpretation.

The riot one was supposed to be you setting up your riot shield and working from behind cover on that one ... know what I mean? ....

Bringing back a thread from 4 months ago but anyway...

I feel the requirements for the medal should be updated to make this clear to everyone going for the badge that they are required to plant the shield, not just run around with any gun with the shield on their back and using killstreaks and have it called a riotshield experts badge. It's just basically an experts badge with the ability to use killstreaks and die more otherwise without stressing the use of the shield.
