Thread: Post / Thread Counter Not Correct.

    Post / Thread Counter Not Correct.


    so is anyone else have a post counter that is way off. Mine shows there are 13 threads with new posts and 37 new posts on those threads. but when I click on it I have 3 threads that are unread and 3 posts. I even tried logging out and back in. even clicked on the nuke button but after a few mins it goes back to showing alot more than what is really there. im lost

    I am having the same issues sometimes but I figure it must mean that ppl posted in that one thread several time and it is counting all those posts in that one thread. If that makes sense at all let me know if not I dont know any other way to put it.

    Yes, the will be showing threads like Shadow explained ..but also I am blocking the "Welcome New Member" threads that are created by the system, which is why you guys will see more threads on the indicator than you guys can actually see ..

    All the Welcome New Member threads can now be seen on the right hand side block called "Our Newest Members" ...

    The number on the left side is the number of new posts and the right number is the number of threads with the new posts ...so if it reads: 189 | 39 that means there are 189 new posts in 39 different threads .....

    That explains why the number is way higher than what I am actually seeing in my unread post list. I will look to the side block for the rest. Thanks

    yes Cheech was nice enough to remove the New User posts from the main feed to make it easier for people to find real post so we dont have to filter thru all of them at my request

    it got a little crazy with people spamming the new user posts to pad their post counts
