Holy shit. That is a crazy list. Like I said, I don't really get into hip hop, but I have much respect for Bone. Those guys have amazing voices. I am hella impressed dude, that is a who's who of rap and hip hop right there.

I did a show with Showtime (the guy that dissed game on the song, "Stand Yo Ground.") It was the reasoning behind him changing his butterfly on his face to that LA Star. I did a show with Haystak and a few others that weren't as big as Bone. Bone only charged us 500 for them to do an hour set. They were already in Cincinnati and said why not. I got to blaze with them and everything. Lil Wyte was with 36 Mafia, but by the time I did a show with him, he was starting Wyte Music and he almost signed us, but one of the guys I was with smacked his GF and almost caused a riot. We had to dip out of there quick. Which is, another reason I'm going back to doing solo gigs. That way, only 'I' can fuck it up for me. Been some fun ass times man. Real good ones.

I checked out Antidote, it's not really my style but there was a lot to like about it. Don't get down if you can't find an audience here, I've known lots of people in my time who would have loved this (especially when I was in the military). You have a good delivery and cadence, but I didn't see much substance in the rhymes (complex patterns, telling a story, double entendres, layers of meaning, etc). Like I said, not really the style of rap I listen to, but good for what it is. I assume you did the beat and it is good. The advice I saw earlier about trying out live instrumentation was good. If you don't have the means, that's understandable, but the way I see it there's nothing to differentiate your music from countless others. You have to find what's unique about you and make it clear in the music.

You can definitely be proud of what you've accomplished. It also says a lot that you took all this advice from the others and never got defensive.

No sense in getting defensive, I've worked really hard on it and am pretty restricted to what I can do in this area and with the amount of instrumentals I can get my hands on.

If you read the Antidote Lyrics, I think you might rethink the substance thing lol..

I spent weeks on it, and the shitty part was having to slow the beat down and the regular 16 bar format becoming a 32 bar template.

    It's a weird one.

I just know that a lot of people have too big of an ego around here, and pretty much everywhere with their music. I know I'm good, but like you said, I can't really differentiate myself from anyone else because like I said, I'm restricted with all the shit I need but don't have lol.

I pretty much put away the thought of ever really being huge in the music scene, and just do it for fun these days.

I'm getting kind of burned out on the whole thing, as there's too many people that rap, and too many good, skilled artists that go unnoticed. I hate it. What are ya gonna do though, ya know?

Thanks for the feedback Mr. Webb... I appreciate it a lot.

Yeah man, you've definitely got to do it for yourself first. I made a lot of music myself as a producer when I was in high school, made a little bit of money doing it, but dealing with rappers and their bullshit and singers who didn't want to work at getting better at singing wore me down. When it wasn't fun anymore, I stopped, but I'm planning on getting back into it one day.

Besides, I like sampling and that's not really what's popular right now.

Man I have so many songs I'd like to sample and have a beat built around it aint even funny lol.

    I love that shit.

And you're right. I've tried to help people get better but they think theyre already the best and get fed nonsense by their friends and family and wont take advice to save their lives. Shit wore me down too, which is another reason Im going solo again. I cant take the bullshit. And being solo, if you fail, its on you. No excuses.
