Ya know, I would have at least paid more attention to this guys complaint if it were not for his attempt for views. He could have just easily sent you a personal message, but instead he took the douchebag route and sent it to a public page where everyone (and possibly his biased friends) could see it. This is why if I have a problem with someone, I say it to their face, when no one's around. That way, if it was a misunderstanding, we go our separate ways without any of the gossip or drama. Hell, if it is a misunderstanding, I'll personally apologize and try my best to make up for it. Showing some kindness here and there goes a long way, but let's just say it goes downhill. It may just be yelling, but it could escalate to violence. If we do end up fighting, no one's around to break it up (and possibly get hurt in the process) or for either of us to get in trouble. If I win the fight, I'll help the guy up and commend him. If I lose, well, I'll suck it up and pay my dues. You'd be surprised how many longtime friends (and a girlfriend or two) I've made doing this.
Funny story, actually. One of my best friends, er, let's just call him by his nickname, Gir, for privacy's sake, hated my guts awhile back. We ended up getting off on the wrong foot due to him thinking I was hitting on his sister (which, to be honest, I was, but not in a rude or obscene way). We ended up beating the tar out of each other, but neither of us really won. Neither of us fought dirty, so I commended him for it. While we were both relaxing, I apologized to him. Told him I really didn't mean anything by it, and that I hoped I hadn't beat him up bad enough for his sister to worry about him. We apologized to each other after that, and he asked if I would have liked to hang out with him at his house. When we walked over there and knocked on the door, his sister opened the door and saw us both bruised. She kind of freaked out, and was about to say something rude to me before Gir stopped her.
"Sis, leave my bud alone, mkay? Whoever can kick my sorry ass and still have the balls to help me up from the floor and apologize, ...well, they at least should know that I'm sorry."
