CAG Top 10 Posters of the Month: December

I didn't really mean high ranking. What I was poorly leading to was that in the time that I have been here there are some guys that post on a regular and there are some guys I have never seen post. The only reason I know they are members is because I look at the roster. Now I know some of these guys are out serving our country and can't post. looking at the roster you can see the last time they were active, for some it's been a long time. I guess all I'm saying is the more people post the better we get to know them the more of a tight nit family we become and the better the site becomes. My thought was some like 15 posts a month to keep an active status. This would not apply to active duty. By no means am I saying kick anyone but maybe a one rank demotion untill you have been active again on the site. As I type this I relize that would be a lot of work. But what I think it would do is open some high rank spots for guys that are very active on the site. I maybe way out in left field here and I understand if I'm told to shut up. Lol

i can see your point, it was put across much clearer in the above post.

i do agree that members with rank should be more inclined to post on a more regular basis. it is after all one of the requirements to gaining one of these afore mentioned positions. makes sense that a member should be expected to continue posting. even if only in a reduced capacity

By all means, whatever the big man decides is his perogative, however, what about the idea of the best 3 month average gets you a promotion. To me the idea of a promotion for CAG shows that people are really dedicated to CAG. And not 1 hit wonders. So lets take a fictional person who does not currently exist, named GoatFucker. GoatFucker applies to CAG today, and is a recruit. He then posts 987 times. Blows people out the water. Then you have SprayAim who is here. He posts 787 times. Next month, GoatFucker loses interest, $10 richer though from a potential MoTM. Next Month, he posts 300 times, Spray Aim still at it, posts 679 times. Maybe in 1st maybe not. 3rd month, no one knows who Goatfucker is with a post count of 7. SprayAim posts 705 times. Goatfucker over 3 months averages 431.3 for a total of 1294 in 3 months, SprayAim totals out at 2171 for an average of 723. To me, shows more dedication, and not that he would not have received a promo anyway for being so active but sends a more clear message. Just a thought. Cheers!

Like I told Randy ... this has nothing to do with MOTM .... This is for members to battle it out month by month to see who is the "top poster" every month ...

If people know that a promotion is at stake here and that they can also have a battle of sorts with others to prevent them from promoting this way, then I think more people will start posting more ...shit take a look at SprayAim .... he has been on a fucking posting assault since I announced this and actually even before that ...

We had a post requirement for all members before and it didn't work out at all ... it got many upset that they needed to have a certain amount of posts so we got rid of that ... that is why we allow members to be a part of the clan as "Private 1st Class" as long as they want without have to post at all if that is what they decide...but they will never rank up past "Private 1st Class" if they are not active on the forums ...

So the consistency is there for those who have chosen to not just be "clam members" but those who choose to be leaders, difference makers and Dogg Brothers ...

They only down side I see is quality of post. Its easy to run your numbers up just by saying welcome to CAG to new users. While its great to do it its not adding any quality. I'm all for a reward for being active and I look forward to trying for it.

Hell' i was always a post whore. it's nice to be back on a forum where i can take part in so many convos and share so much.... many other clans i was in while away are lucky to have 3-5 new posts a day on the forum,. It sucked ass

What is the average post per month you would say? I think I am going to incorporate this into my donation thing. Get people more active!
