Microsoft Users! Urgent!!!

Keep an eye on cards tied to Microsoft accounts. I had three new accounts pop up under my card on the fifth of December. I had to file a fraud report and cancel each account by calling in and explaining my situation, and that the only account I have is on prepaid cards. I was refunded fully, and the boxes tied to those accounts are permanently offline.

Again, please keep an eye for any double, unexpected, fraudulent charges for cards tied to your MS account.

No problem. I also called my bank and had them cancel that debit card, just in case they attempted it again.

This sounds more like basic credit card theft than anything Microsoft related (and they just happened to make Microsoft XBL accounts with it). Sorry to hear that you've been thieved.

That's definitely a possibility, but with the recent attacks on MS, they are afraid some folks account info had been taken; at least as much was mentioned on the call I had with them today.

My card was fucked 3 years ago ... so it can happen and it's still happening ...

my card gets fucked over every other month with all the internet purchases i make, thankfully banks here are pretty good and i tend to get a refund and new card
