Discuss the Battlefield 4 Regiment of CAG's Battlefield Brigade here
I hate them. Most of you know that. I know DICE/EA is trying to make more money, but I think that at least you need to be a certain level before being able to buy the shortcut kits/bundle.
I'm curious, no really, of what you guys think of them. Should there be a minimum level before obtaining them? Should it just be weapons and not vehicles, or vice versa?

I think there should be a level cap on all short cuts as we worked to get our weapons now everyone can have every weapon an vehicle unlock for the small price of $40. I guess one way to look at it is that it gives everyone a level playing field especially the newbies.Originally Posted by Gryff

I see it this way.
The guys getting these shortcut packs have very likely already unlocked this stuff on another console and have been destroying with them there. To that I say f-u to Dice because that shit should transfer between consoles/PC anyways.
Also, a newb is a newb. If you think about someone who is actually playing the game for the first time at lvl 6 or something, all the guns unlocked isn't really going to help them that much because they don't know which guns they like, don't know the maps, and just don't understand how to use equipment properly.
To me you should have one soldier that works on every console, I'm mostly pissed because I had to spend $50 on shit I have already spent 100s of hours unlocking.

Shortcut packs don't bother me. If people are stupid enough to spend 10 or 40 more dollars on shit that's easy to unlock then good for DICE/EA. The best guns are the first ones available lol. It's easy to unlock stuff for vehicles because you now get points for doing damage, you don't even need to get the kill.
If players are still struggling to unlock shit or think their guns suck they need to sell their game because they suck. Bottom line.
Why nesty did it is a different story but still beyond on me.

A lot of my favorite weapons are early unlocks... P226, m416, ak5c. The only part that would suck to me personally is having to do assignments or the campaign to unlock the weapons. I hate how they did that with the campaign.
But when it's all said and done I personally like to earn my shit but everyone is different. But what makes a good player is not the weapon there holding. Anyone can hold an ace 23 doesn't mean there good.
But I do see the other side how it pisses people off. You dump hours into the game and they get there shit in a click of a button.
But like Nesty said they might have everything unlocked on another console or they don't have the time to put the grind fest to unlock there weapon of choice because there busy with life and just want to hop on and have everything at there disposal.
I have played this game so god damn much now I don't even notice people who are using a weapon that is not unlocked to their level yet.
I just shoot'em and move on to the next one.
For the guns, I don't believe that it unlocks the attachments for the gun (?), so even the best guns aren't in their best state.

Yeah no attachments unlocked, that would be pretty overpowered. I don't mind having SOMETHING to grind out
