I'd suggest mentioning that we have a lot of players that play together as a squad/team and have mics and communicate. For solo players that's probably a bigger selling point than our rank on top100. Just my opinion though

I'm going to shimmy in here with all my Support gear on, trying not to make my LMG bang against the door and say something on the version of recruiting those with tags.

Do it. Recruit everyone. I've been in 8 clans since I got my first Xbox 360. Started in Battlefield Bad Company, Halo 3, and Call of Duty Something something something....before Black ops..Anyways, every now and then I'd get messages from clans offering up their two cents and asking for me to come talk to them or apply via website ect. Its how I moved between clans, and in fact CAG is my 3rd in BF4 and 5th in the franchise. (Maybe the last if Cheech steps down and hands over all power and authority to me. Kidding. )

Anyways, my Guidance counselor in High school had this really annoying phrase he would use for EVERYTHING. "Keep you doors open." Keep you options where you can see them. Keep up with who talks to you and for what reason. Always have something to back up on. Being on the other side of the recruiting process many a time, I can tell you, even being in a clan, its great to get recruitment invites. Especially when it is from some guys you played several games with. It may be funny to say, "O hey, I got an invite to join their clan. Hahaha, I would never join their clan, I'm with you guys." Something to that effect. I still kept that invite, and when shit went up and not only hit, but engulfed the fan, I had another clan that I slowly started talking to. Before long the clan I was formerly in had died, and I was joining a new one. I didn't have to search and ASK.



What I've done for recruitment, which I hated doing because it was inexplicably boring, no offense, is If I'm paired with someone I will recruit them over several games. I'll "seduce" them into the Clan. Tell them what we are about, how we play, how often, ect. I'll friend them, they do the same, and we hit it off over a few days. Then after 3 or 4 days I officially recruit them and can give an honest answer to how they play when I'm asked. Now the downside is, this almost never happens, and I'm almost always squading up with friends so I don't get the chance on randoms.


If anyone wants a REALLY in depth discussion on how I've recruited, i'd be more than happy to share, just on another topic. I don't want to steal the spotlight from Destroyer here.

I think the attraction of our clan is that we have a tight knit group of individuals who are all great chill people. We may not have super big quantity but we definitely have quality people. If you want to succeed in this clan the best way is to be fun to play with, respect everyone, and uphold the CoC of CAG.

CAG has always been about respecting other clans even if they don't deserve the respect ... Clan poaching is something we don't allow here and never will ... We have always pride ourselves on integrity and sportsmanship, clan poaching is just not cool ...we wouldn't want other clans to do it to us, so we don't do it either ...

Now you can play with other clan members ...talk to them about us, sell them the CAG way ... if they ask if we are recruiting .. then and only then do we talk to them about joining ...

Indeed! Great posts chaps! I too would emphasise the squad play with comms. Also the maturity level...ie no drama and no smack talk. Just good people playing with other like minded people.

It's all about the people and the fun.
