Yeah it's back baby, I think it works similarly to ghost clan wars (not the competitive games mode)

Its called "Ranked Play" if I remember correctly. There's a preseason playlist out now.

No there's actully clan wars again. Ranked play is totally different.

I was only heavily involved with Clan Wars the first month or so with Ghosts, so they could have changed things ...
You have to use the app to see the clan wars map to know which game mode to play ... but essentially, each win anyone in your clan gets in a game mode will go towards either capturing that game mode's node, if it is unoccupied, or reducing another clan's possession of a node. Though, reducing another clan's possession of a node is to the benefit of all clans, maybe even the current occupant, not necessarily yours. If you capture a node by reaching the required number of wins, then you occupy it and get points for the clan.
In general you are ...
- Going after unoccupied nodes. Even if another clan beats you to the goal, your wins are still there for the next time the node is unoccupied.
- Not defending nodes because it didn't gain you many extra points (maybe 2pt every day that you held it). You might even WANT other clans to take you down so that you can retake the node for greater clan points.
From what I've heard, we aren't trying to keep a small clan wars competitive team, which means that some people will simply be playing what they like to play or what is needed for marksman. Naturally, we will have a constant accumulation in those game modes. So, I think, if you want to focus on clan wars, simply playing game modes on unoccupied nodes is the only strategy (unless they change up the rules from Ghosts).
