It's a great app...just frustrating that it's only for reading and not writing / interacting as well.

Has API tech come on that far yet? Must have since you can change loadouts for Battlefield using the battlelog app.

The "tech" has been there since forever. Writing data is not much more taxing on there servers than reading from it (depending on caching layers, of course, but that's a different story). I think Bungie chose not to include writing simply because they want people to actually be in the game to manage things. On XBL and PSN there's layers to the layers. Putting writes on the web opens up a much more viable point of attacking/cheating the servers.
