My back muscles have always been pretty tight especially on the right side. Up until I was about 19 I played hockey religiously every winter and worked on the farm in the summer so I never noticed any problems with my back.
However after this my hobby attention turned to gaming and so I quit playing competitive hockey. Also I left the farm for a few years to do some school and music touring. Between sitting on a bus for a year and having gaming as a hobby (which isn't exactly a physical activity) I think my back slowly got shifted out of place.
Anyways about 3 years ago I tossed out my back something awful. I was at a concert in a mosh pit (which I breezed through with ease in my younger years) and I pushed it to hard.
Right after I went to a chiropractor and he seemed to fix me up pretty good. Since then I need to go get readjusted about every year.
After my 4th adjustment recently and with working the tight spots on my back with a tennis ball against a wall. I can feel my back loosening up as I get back into shape (I have also been working out recently)
This winter I plan to return to hockey to try and keep up the forward progress. I have been feeling much better lately and seem to have more energy and drive.
I'd like some guys to chime in in their experiences with chiropractors or muscle health in general.
