Taking pictures of yourself naked is not illegal but someone stealing those pictures is. Also couldnt it be claimed the pictures are still taken by the person in the picture? Cameras do have timers on them now.

Also child porn is definitely illegal and probably part of the reason the picture taker is the one responsible for the pictures.

I know Child porn is illegal but the way I read that statement is the person that took the pictures now owns them, no matter what they are or who they are, and are now free to do with what they please. I could be mistaken, but that is upsetting to say the least.

Also I think whether the pictures were taken on private property or in a public setting would have something to with how legal they are

When it comes to pictures (i.e. paparazzi and celebrities) If the pictures are taken on private property they are illegal however in a public setting is a different story, more difficult to have a case in court if at all

Anything that is taken in public, such as video, pictures and audio is "public domain" as it is not copyrighted and can be said that is of public interest ...

Only pictures of kids because of Halle Berry can not be taken without your consent ...

Even pictures inside a building or at a party can be used and published on the internet ... we all know that anyone can at anytime take pictures of us, you don't usually tell someone at a party, "oh don't take pictures of me" because you just don't, but celebrities do ask people at parties not to take pictures and something like that should be honored even if you are not a celebrity ...

As to the pictures taken by others in these cases, no one knows who took the pictures, so they are being allowed to be displayed and only those who don't give a fuck about legal ramifications will post them and not take them down from their servers .... the ones who are not taking these pictures down are people in Countries who own their own private servers and those who have nothing to lose either ....

Another thing, when you decide to use the "icloud" from Apple to save your data, pictures and what ever else, you are giving permission and waiving all your rights and "You agree to indemnify and hold harmless" them and any third parties involved ... therefore if a hack happens they really aren't obligated to do shit about it...but because these people are "high profile" and "celebrities" "Money" talks ....
