for sure dude. you can really hear the change in tempo and style on some of the songs on Youthanasia but i mean i guess every band has to evolve at some point it's just a matter of liking the new style's. me... i like the older, aggressive, technical and angry Megadeth. not only that but Dave would write about politics and world issues which is something most thrash/heavy metal bands couldn't/don't do.

then there's the aspect of the person themselves changing. granted Dave was never into Satanism/Paganism/Odinism or any kind of ism's but once he "found god" things changed. i know he won't play The Conjuring live. he also got off ALL the drugs and booze and i'm sure that played it's role. throw kids and a wife into the mix as well man... artist's just change and subsequently the music typically changes with them.

I'm just glad Metallica tossed him in a shitty way and then talked shit about him. really pushed him to make great music just to spite them lol.
