and how is it better the specs are pretty much the same on mine and all the reviews I saw between it and the Elgato say the Avermedia is slightly better and a big price difference as well

It's essentially the same, difference is price. Not all Youtubers use El gato some streams I follow use Avermedia.

It's all about preference. I respect your opinion tho

Just my opinion is to make the videos 720p..everything else is great and you don't really need an elgato the only reason so many youtubers have it is because the known ones push for them to buy it....thats all

a cap card is a cap card, really no major difference between Elgato/Aver/PVR

I've been checking a lot of reviews and they both have pros and cons. The most notable are Hardware, Software, and compatibility.

after replying i did remember that when i went to change the definition there was no 460/720p - not sure if you need to record to higher def or if thats the max on it? kinda curious Gyps.
