Hey guys! I'm looking for some unbiased info on the National Guard. As some of y'all know, I'm a single mom and times are tough. I've been trying to find alternate means of income and haven't come up with anything helpful. My parents and I have been talking about the possibility of me joining the National Guard since I could do that as well as go back to school in an attempt to get my masters. I know that recruiters have an agenda and I'm worried they won't be completely upfront about the pros and cons. So....any veterans have any helpful advice? The only reason I'm not in the military already is because as a single mom I didn't want to have to give up custody of my child. I'm a committed parent so please keep that in mind.Thanks guys!!
