I once kicked my brother out of my house for disrespecting me and breaking the rules. Sometimes you go to do it. He later apologized and forgave him on the spot. Family is so important you should always help each other and never be mad at each other for too long.

I am a little brother and I can tell you, don't try to be the extra parent. My brother did that and it just made me angry and rejectional of him. If you can, try to be more like a ... friend, I guess? I know for a fact that we (little brothers) are stupid as fuck, because:
1) We feel we have to "prove" ourselves compared to our older siblings and therefor go to lengths to do stupid shit just because we want attention.
2) We can be a bit spoiled. Ever had a fight with your sibling/-s when you were younger, and you got all the blame because "He's younger than you! He doesn't know any better, but you should!". Yeah, heck no, we know exactly what we're doing and we enjoy getting away with shit just because parents think we're dumber than we are.
Best of luck with all of it though. Hope everything turns out for the best in the end.
