The Sharpshooter and expert badges are needed to move up in the ranks and the other are badges of honor.

Depends on the badge. Most are for prestige within the clan, and to challenge yourself. To go the extra mile to get ALL badges would be an apt description.

It is something to do, something that requires teamwork and dedication, communication and raw talent to achieve.

The higher you go up in the Marksmans awards the Shapshooters n the expert awards .
Most don't see it . But eatch award makes your play style different .
For the Marksman its all about team work and getting kills but at the sametime theres not that paranoid of getting killed because u have enough deaths to give
Sharpshooter slows you down because now you need more kills and less deaths .

The Expert simply makes you a CAG lol

And to rank up in the clan you do need these awards .

Yup that's how it is done .
I was one of a run n gunner . And I still am now .
But now I slow it up and pay attention to where everyone is at on the maps and like u said Choke points . Just knowing the choke points steps ur game up tremendously .

That's why on Black Ops 2 the Tac insert is so deadly for me
