    My X1 Might Be Garbage


    This mornin at some point my son sneaked into my room and poured pop or something all over the top of my console I haven't turned it on to see if worked I was too pissed at the time so here's hoping it still works bout I doubt it..I won't be able to check till this weekend.. fingers crossed lol

    Obvious tricks are obvious, but you should really let it sit in something absorbent. Rice is good (saved my phone after a toilet-drop with that), and silica packs are even better. After "soaking it", put it in a window, or some other place where there's sun/heat.

    If it's pop though, and the sugar has gotten into the hardware, you're shit out of luck. As soon as the electricity comes on it's going to fry.

    Anyway, all my condolences with you man. Getting expensive electronics busted is fucking heartbreaking.

    In 1993 I did that to my fathers brand new VHS camcorder. It cost 2600 at the time. It was an accident! They moved a trash can that was usually there and put that there instead... >_<
