Capture the Flag Squad

Alright, what did we learn tonight?

1. When we communicate well, we are absolutely dominant.
2. Kill/death ratios don't mean a damn thing. The other team can camp for killstreaks all they want, but we will capture flags at all costs and win the game.
3. Guards NEED to have ghost pro and strelas. First priority for guards is to protect our flag. Second priority is to take out air support. If a chopper gunner or hind is in the air, guards need to take it out absolutely immediately. Runners can do nothing if they are being taken out by air support. We already talked about this, but i just felt like it needed to be repeated as this is very important.
4. Nitro and Iron are hereby in the squad. Kapt, brando, cheech let me know what you guys think about this. I felt like we had a great group tonight. Great communication, everybody was communicating very well.
5. We could really use some work on Grid.
6. Even though we won most of the games tonight, we still need practice.
7. Array is our bread and butter

Other than these, i think we did one hell of a job tonight. I would definetly like to have at least one practice next week. I know that some of us are picking up homefront and i understand that we all would like to get some gametime in with that game, but i really really really want the ReaperDoggs to get some practice. So if its just one practice, then thats all we will do. But if you guys are open to having maybe two or three or four or seventy or three thousand or one million practices in the next week then let me know. My schedule will be a lot more open next week so it wont be late night practices. Let me know what you guys think and your availability. Maybe as soon as Sunday? I'll be available as early as 8 or 9 pm CST on Sunday. Even if its just a few games, it is definetly worthwhile to get as much playtime as we can, especially now that we have a definite core of 6 members.

Also, if any other members of CAG are interested in possibly joining the ReaperDoggs then please let me know. We definetly need to have alternates for the core squad in case some of the members of the ReaperDoggs are unavailable. As of right now, the core ReaperDoggs team is myself, cheech, brando, kapt. (nitro and iron also as long as brando, kapt, and cheech are fine with it, i am). If you are interested in joining, please first understand that this is going to become a very elite squad of CAG. You need to have great communication. You need to be able to call out enemy positions on any map at any time. You must be able to and be willing to follow orders at any time. You CANNOT care about your kill/death ratio. WE CARE ONLY ABOUT WINNING THE GAME AT HAND. You MUST be an active member of the clan (this means on the forum and on XBL). You MUST have at least your Marksman Badge. Other than that, your acceptance into the ReaperDoggs is based solely on my judgement and also the judgement of the other active members of the ReaperDoggs.

I think what happened last night for both Iron and me, well at the very least me. I think our nerves just got rattled cause we weren't expecting that team to try and build up killstreaks. With what you said above and last night Gdub I think we will be able to keep a cooler head next time for sure.

As for practices next week I am unfortunately going to have some availability problems I can stay up kinda late(ish) tonight but Sunday i gotta hit the pillow a lot earlier cause of work, same for Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday I can stay up late cause no work Thursday. Now here is the part ur really not gonna like I am heading out of town Thursday morning on a camping trip and wont be back until Sunday. Sorry about this guys but its spring break and i gotta get out of my house and de-stress.

I would love to stay a member of the squad as I did have a lot of fun last night, but understand if you need to replace me. If I may suggest you could use next weekends practice as a chance to test out some alternates since I wont be there. Whatever you guys decide I understand.

haha no worries nitro, we all need a little vacation. As long as kapt, brando, and cheech are fine with it, i would like for you to become a core member of the ReaperDoggs, so you wont have to worry about being replaced. We do need to find alternates though, so, like you said, this upcoming weekend will be good for that

Let me add a little bit here.

1. Communication was the key to our victories last night.
2. I would like to see us add more "ahead of game time strategy" as well. What I mean by this is a discussion on map strategies, etc. Many times as escort the game would start and you're stuck (trying to hear over everyone talking) wondering which way the runners were going... If we have set routes for each map, numbered, we can call out the number and everyone knows where the runner is coming/going.
3. GWB is spot on with Ghost Pro. If you don't have it yet, get it! Also, if you prestige, you need to immediately get Ghost as your first purchase. This way you can work towards Ghost Pro ASAP. Strela comes at level 31, so if you aren't level 31 and you want to be a guard, you best have SAM Turret as one of your Kill Streak rewards. Furthermore, you need to use the M72 which is the free default launcher.
4. Nitro and Iron were good last night. We need more practices still, but quality beginnings last night for sure. I'm okay with these two in the squad. We definately need to recruit 3 or so more alternates however.
5. Grid was an issue last night. So was Firing Range and Stadium at times. We still won on those maps, but I believe we also lost on one of them. However, that may have been due to being down to 5 players... I believe we need work on all the maps still... I'd like us to put together a map strategy meeting and discuss our approches... - see my previous thought on numbering routes, etc...
6. I would like to get some practices in where we alternate our roles. I like being escort, but I also like to run and I like to defend. So having 3 classes built before we get into our sessions is important. I also think it's important for all of us to be comfortable with each other knowing the strategies and habits of each other while performing any or the roles.

... and a side note here, GWB, Reaper Doggs is two words.

Welcome to the Reaper Doggs guys.I agree with everything stated in this forum.Nitro have fun on ur trip.We tore it up last night.I know one match lasted like 5 minutes thats fast on capture the flag.Nitro dude you did great,that was wat ur first practice.The future is bright
