Wolfenstein

So picked up wolfenstein the new order a couple days ago and its awesome! i love the new console graphics and the general over all feel of the game. Plus, its a little gorey which is a perk in my book. If you guys get a chance pick it up i strongly recommend playing this game.

I rented this from the video store the other day, I have not had a chance to play much, but what I have played looked awesome. I will post more when I get further into the game.

two things bothered me.

1. only singleplayer. if i beat the campaign then what?
2. General Deathshead - which is an obvious SS reference as their insignia was called the Death Head. it just feels like they spent time on the game, graphics and gameplay and then just said "fuck it" when it came to naming the main antagonist. just doesn't seem like Bethesda.

blame these characters are from like almost 20 years ago, plus bethesda only produced the game. They love revamping old games like this which dont get me wrong i love it, but it wasnt origanlly their baby. Kinda like fallout 3. theres lots of easter eggs and hidden trophies to find for achievements. One of which is a fallout 3 reference. The sound track is amazing, and B.J. the main character thinks during the game. I mean you can hear what he's thinking to give you clues or just some useless babble but it adds to the realism. The cover system is good too plays like battlefield and you can even manually pop in and out using the LB button.

i remember LANing one of them way back when. i know it was a D-Day type setting and i know there were multiple classes. i think it was a Wolfenstein but i can't be positive.

that's cool D4rky but the biggest question remains - what do i do once i beat the campaign? that's not why i buy FPS' anymore. the name thing was just being nit picky. 95% of reason i wouldn't even consider buying it is 64 dollars with no replayability. maybe if it was a 20 dollar arcade game i would go for it but again, if it doesn't have replayability then i can't justify 64 doll hairs but that's just me. if you enjoy it then that's cool, do your thing. i'm just giving my opinion.

Yup, I feel the same way. I'll probably get it when the price goes down though. Right now other games that offer endless amount of fun seems worth getting than this.
