Trying To Explain.

So last night my girlfriend asked me to explain why i was medically discharge from the army depsite nothing being physically wrong,
i tried to brush her off but she wouldnt give up, so i explained everything. every contact to every IED. from the first time that wave of heat hits you as you touch down in Kandahar to the moment the cold hits you at Brize.

i dont think i have ever told anyone the whole of it and now i dont know what to do. she went to bed, i thought i had scared her but i went to bed and we lay there, not saying a thing and then out of no where she tells me that she could feel the pain and grief and stress and emotion when i spoke that it made her feel like she could feel the pressure leaving me, well today feels like the beginning of a whole new chapter, like somehow a weight has been lifted, i slept soundly for the first night in years and for the first time since i came home. i didnt jump at the farmers game hunting in the fields near by.

i dont know why i told you guys, i guess i just needed to tell someone
