    Moving Out.

hey guys, i have a dilemma. ive been debating on moving out with my best friend and two other people and rent per person would be $300 and i have a job that pays $8.00/hr but im going to get a raise to $10/hr and i have about average 59 hours a month and thats only part time. so i think id be fine for rent

but i know how important school is .but im failing anyways. its just that i can't stand living with my family. it makes me sound immature but in reality its true. they have anger problems and its getting to me. its always about them and its too much. they said if i move out they'll stop paying for college and i would be on my own. i wont have a car anymore either.

tl;dr- i want to move out but college is important. im failing it anyways. id be okay if i moved out rent wise. and family is too much about themselves than me. and if i move out wont support me.

what should i do. since you guys are my second family i want your opinion.

I didn't do the collage thing... Tried and failed, not because my grades sucked or anything... I just can't handle that whole "in a classroom" environment

Needless to say I have been living alone since the age of 16, best thing I ever did imo - even as a full grown man I can't spend too much time with my mother due to inevitable arguments so I can relate to your predicament

Buddy this is no easy decision; what you choose now can affect the rest of your life. Weigh your options: leave your parents and go into the world with a high school diploma or endure your parents until you go off to college? Make sure you think before you make any irrational decisions.

Also, I would tell them how you feel. Tell them about how their anger is upsetting you and try to work together to fix it. Be sincere and whatever you do don't raise you voice. This might get them back into their angry state of mind.

I can't give you an answer; you know you and your family the best. Ican only give you advice and good luck. So, I would weigh out your options and talk to your parents about how you feel before deciding what to do.

    Best of luck, buddy.

I hear you bro it's rough but I'll tell you a piece of advice when push comes to shove the only people in this world that have your back is family. No matter how hard it seems just have nights to your self and relax breath. Trust me I wouldn't be the person am today had it not been for my family. Friends now days are a dime of dozen how I know because I only roll with 2 the rest of them exist on my Xbox friends list. I'm actually in somewhat the same boat had my 30th bday planned out but it seemed to have gone into shit because my friends or excuse me the fake friends I have showed their true colors.

I'll continue on I'll tell you the same take a deep breath and really think about what your gonna do. Sorry bout going off topic I felt I needed to vent if you want to talk you've got 2 ears willing to listen

You dont see me here but I've been here for a while always looking out for my brothers in CAG hope you make the right choice brotha

like i have the same problem with my family too. i get into the biggest arguments with my family. all of them. over big things and petty things. and its horrible. there once was a point in my life where i inflicted self harm because of them.

tbh they have made me into a worse person than i was. because of the many times they have insulted me. bashed my best friend. and the restrictions they put on me is just too much. they actually do not have my back most the time. and if they do. they use it against me.

I moved across the country at 16. Lived alone for two years and became the absolute worst kind of person. I sold drugs, I stole, I took drugs, and was an absolute fucking idiot; But I was happy for the ignorance I was in...

I moved back to my folks after two years, a horrible, horrible relationship that still has repercussions to this day, and changing my entire life in some of the hardest ways, though there are many harder. I stayed for three months, trying to got to college for two of them, though it just wasn't for me. If education is key, then school is the lock. It doesn't broaden tour horizon, open your mind, perceive red as green, or let you go when someone says stop. I left shortly after dropping out because I couldn't take my folks arguing that college was the only way, to get a degree would mean a job, but I don't see any degree holders, holding a job relating to their degree... But this is just from my perspective.

Granted that's not how everyone will see, or be able to understand.

I moved back to across the country and lived there for four years, became self sustainable, learned an amazing trade, both on my own, and through apprenticeship (blacksmithing). I am now the happiest person I can possibly be, having moved back to my folks to be able to afford a loan, to start up my own business, Deep Roots Forge.

That's my story, and I can't really offer advice on your decision, because most of that was so difficult to me, I just put headphones on, and pushed as hard as I could, and it's really just a blur now. You have probably what will be the most difficult decision you will make, and it will, most definitely, change your life forever, and the path you take. Just remember, you do not "find" yourself, and no-one can tell you "what" you are. You must hammer, and forge your character into what you wish to be, and that most people travel their path, by taking one to try and avoid it.

Weigh your options heavily, find your pros, and discover your cons, this should not be decided lightly.

I wish the beat to you, and your family, and I hope in the end, whatever you decide; that your path is challenging, changing, and full of new discovery and happiness like mine ended up being, and that you, like me, can once and for all get along with your family and understand that every individual has their own hardships and difficulties; which can take a family working together to finally end.
