Clan Ranking Suggestion

Again, the intention here is to get people to get these badges so that they can rank up by doing so ... Earning each badge result in a rank promotion , it has been this way for years ...

Earning 3 ranks for obtaining all 3 Weapon Badges is not that bad, once they get to Corporal to get to Sergeant 3 requirements have to be met instead of one :

Sergeant
CAG Sergeants are members of the clan who have chosen to take command of a squad for a minimum of 6 months. If the member does not complete the 6 months as a squad leader, he/she may be demoted back to Corporal depending on the reason for not being able to complete the 6 months.

Sergeants may be promoted and designated as Platoon Sergeants if no qualified members are currently available as long as they have their Sharpshooter's Badge and even be meritoriously promoted if they have satisfactorily demonstrated that they are capable of carrying out the responsibilities and duties of a higher rank either through a recommendation or request.

A maximum of 10 Sergeants per MOS and Billet are allowed in the clan and promotion to Sergeant may be delayed due to an excessive amount of current Sergeants

In order to receive the Rank of Sergeant the following requirements must be met:

• Minimum of 400 posts on the forums
• Minimum of 4 months in the Clan
• Must earn the Expert Badge

I do not know the way you guys have things or do things, and I do not know if this will help in any way. But I think I understand where this is heading, and to maybe help clarify I have a small story.

Back in my old community, we had a guy named Breaker, who was coming up at the same time I was, and he had completed every award and requirement in order to be admin, but the admin team did not trust him enough to be put in as an admin or with the information an admin required. So he was not. I think what Unbalanced is referring to here, is if you guys had someone like Breaker, whom you did not trust but went through and completed all the awards and everything but still something off about him. Something that did not seem right about putting that person in as a leader person. Its important for people to not only act as good leaders but actually good at leading people. Nothing is worse than an idiot leading 5 trained killers into a deadly situation. So I think what Unbalanced is trying to say is make it a consideration as opposed to an automatic here is card.

BTW, Breaker ended up quitting 2 weeks after being given a probation admin position. I hope this helps, if not. I am sorry.

Again please read and note the parts highlighted in red .... just because they receive this rank doesn't make them a fireteam, squad leader or platoon sergeant, it makes the "eligible" .... when you are eligible for something you can request or go for it ....

The following is one way that casual and hardcore gamers can rank up in CAG. Other ways can be found in the Chain of Command. These weapon badges must be earned in the following order

Marksman: Qualifying only as a Marksman will result in the recruit receiving the rank of Private 1st Class and makes him/her eligible for fireteam leader

Sharpshooter: Qualifying as a Sharpshooter will result in the recruit receiving the rank of Lance Corporal and makes him/her eligible for squad leader

Expert: Qualifying as an Expert will result in the recruit receiving the rank of Corporal and makes him/her eligible for platoon sergeant, drill instructor or recruiter training

I am reading the ranking requirements and the Chain of Command ... and I see where you can get confused like Unbalance said so ...I will make it more clear on both by tomorrow morning ..

You guys have to remember ... not just Me, but all the Officers and Co-Leaders look at more than just the requirements ... If someone decided to move a 2 month recruit to an Officers rank , we would support that move because we trust each others decisions ... The Chain of Command and the Ranking and Promotions pages are only a guideline as to how we may promote our members ...

This has been the center of many discussions in the past and the reason why a lot of members have become disgruntled with our Ranking and Promotions system ... Don't let it throw you off and make you do or say something you might regret ...not saying anyone in this thread has ...

Read the Chain of Command, read the Ranking and Promotions articles and use that to help you decide according to what you read on how you wish to rank up in CAG ....many have done it without question and or doubts , it's CAG's main reason for success, our structure is one that is not and has not been matched by many clans, we work together and always put CAG's best interest first ...
