Lines have been straightened out, some, and the interior is much more smoothe and even. Little more work then on to hand sanding it.

Quick test etch before grain refinement, hardening, and tempering.



All heat-treatment cycles have been finished with no problems; (This is when the most stress is placed on the steel, being raised to 1550*F and cooled to under 100*F in about 15 seconds multiple times, can warp, crack, and shatter explosively.); and celebrated with booze, as I am abstinent from the beginning of a blade 'till this point.



Have since re -polished the blade and shaped and started polishing the bolster. Next I will get the handle blocked, milled, and fitted, and then a pommel.



From there I will etch fully, and start putting it all together, and then carve the handle!
