Digital Game Impressions

Well this generation I have decided to go all digital for a few reasons and this weekend I was pleasantly surprised to find MS stay true to a digital game feature they promised.

I bought the digital version of Titanfall and this weekend I am visiting my brother who also has an X1. I thought "mutherfaker!" because I didn't have the disc to bring with me!

Upon arrival at my bros place I remembered a MS promise that I could download my games on any console. So I slapped my profile on his X1 and downloaded Titanfall in about 2 hours......IT WORKS GREAT! Not only can I play it on my profile but if my brother signs in he can play it on his profile as well, keeping our stats separate and the whole gig (if he played on mine it would probably help my score )

To be fair Titanfall is only 16 GB and many other games are 40 GB so this wouldn't work that smoothly will all games. However it is a decent start and I was pleasantly surprised at the functionality.

I am interested to see what happens when I sign onto my console back home again, and whether my brother can still access Titanfall on his profile haha

Has anyone else gone all digital on X1? Why or why not?!

I have gone partly digital...I've got a few games on my One that I downloaded. I think it all works perfectly and is so very convenient...no getting up to change discs and just click and play.

the games are far too big now for my shitty connection. 8GB usually would take me 2-4 hours so i don't have the patience for these next gen titles.

It's true the ISPs have to catch up a lot. I hope the big games are due to the system launch rush and they make them smaller soon. On 360 the games did get smaller over time.

So it turns out Walmart is starting to sell used games. Strange that they would start doing this so late. I bet they are thinking Gamestop is going to die soon so there will be some market share to pick up.

I have felt the wraith of digital purchases for the first time, on my PS4 strangely. i bought InFamous Second Son and my goodness do I wish I could trade it back in.
