at least in core they don't one shot you in the foot. that's not very realistic.

in game where you can rendezook and suicide C4 the realism argument is lost to me.

i don't play hardcore because i don't like to be 1 shotted by every vehicle and sniper. it takes away the fun of actually being able to play as infy. in my opinion it thats more skill to hit a person 5-7 times then 2 or once but thats just me. not having a minimap is also horseshit. people use maps as well. but hey man if you want to play hardcore go for it brother don't let me stop ya.

Blame real bullets only take one to two shots to take someone down in real life and that what hardcore mode simulates. No having a minimap makes people learn the turren of the map which helps you learn the choke points where snipers could be. But I do honor your opinion

So it takes more skill to camp and one shot people than to be aware of your own position and the fact that people likely know where you're at while actually having to aim while shooting someone?

Maybe if HC had a mechanic to show us where a shot was coming from it could possibly be interesting, but as it is, no, most definitely not. I get vehicle sniped enough in core as it is.

Emperor during my deployment I never had anything to tell me where gun fire is coming from unless maybe if I was in a MRAP with I hardly was. So thats whats going on in Hardcore mode. 50 cal rounds and LAV are ment to take someone out in a single shot. Situational awareness keeps you alive compliance gets you killed. But thanks for your opinion

i feel you man and i respect you opinion. i'm not trying to discourage you at all its just a subject that is near and dear to me. if you like a game with a super realistic damage and no core mode check out insurgency on steam. levelcap also has some gameplay of it on youtube.

The whole realism thing is a slippery slope ... it'll move on to the toppic of respawns, etc. I encourage everyone to play what they like as you'll likely find like-minded people to play with.

I've changed over the years ... starting out in Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon, there were no respawns, you die then you watch. We actually had some great conversations while dead and I learned a lot from watching better players, becoming someone who was being watched more than watching. But years of COD has changed me and I prefer to respawn and run around a lot more, mixing up some running and some camping. You never know, one day I may turn into one of these run-n-gun snipers, lol, ok maybe not.
