Not sure it's about which is better as such...I prefer battlefield myself. Can also see the merit of the CoD series...both are fun to play...but yeah, I prefer battlefield if given the choice.

in their current state's they are both poor excuses for big titles from big publisher's. as long as they sell their quota's every year and don't face backlash from the communities that play them these companies have no incentive's to change their strategies which is hurry up and release a half finished game or a game that uses the same core system's as the last 6 or 7 titles as fast as possible.
i'm sure other companies see this formula, see it work every first quarter and decide to replicate it. look at Assassin's Creed... what turned into a every few years game has become a once a year release and the story line and core mechanics have suffered. in the last one you didn't even have your finger removed to earn your hidden blades. a NPC just gave you some he found somewhere. the story was pretty shitty and boring as well and the free running system has gotten easier yet at the same time worse.
it's quite a sad trend but it isn't going to change any time soon.

the only difference is i think both titles are pure shit now.
I started my recent online play with the COD series and i have had a blast with it, but i find battlefield is on a whole other level. Just the possibilities within BF are endless and COD seems more confined within it's box.
I will just on COD now for play with friends or just some cartoon action fun, but BF is more realistic and i enjoy that more right now.
