played it for about 4-5 hours this morning with Emperor and thought i would share my thoughts about the game in it's current state.
the AI is awful. really, really awful. hopefully it will be highly upgraded come launch. as it stands, its not even a threat. when i was capping a base one of the Military Grunts ran up behind me, shot me once and as i turned around he was moving backwards and not firing.
the Smart Pistol needs a mega nerf. it lock's on at fairly far ranges and all you need to do is pull the trigger.
solider movement takes about an hour to get used to. at times it feels a bit overkill and it's almost hard in some spots to traverse terrain the way you intend to.
something Emperor noticed was it feels easy to get a headshot even at range and i also noticed this almost immediately. it feels similiar to Halo 4. i was getting headshots without even trying.
kills don't feel very rewarding to me either. it didn't feel like i ever really earned or had to work hard for a kill but i guess that is to be expected from a Call of Duty publisher. kills are generally meant to be obtained in a very high capacity per round, that's just the style of the game which is fine if that is what you enjoy.
the graphics are pretty good for a beta, but i feel like they should be on XB1.
perhaps some will be completely blown away by this game and find it highly enjoyable come launch. after playing the beta i was not swayed from my option of Gameflying it over purchasing it. i think that will be a perfect option for me. play it when i need a change of pace from BF4 style FPS. if anything, i would consider taking it off of my game list but i have the 2 games out at a time option and have already paid off both releases that i really want this month.
