Yeah guys I mean even if we stopped using gas and started using an alternative the Earth will still produce gases that are harmful. There are ways though that we can utilize everyday things that will give us power. For instance there are villages in Africa that are not rich enough to pay for power. A group of people are helping them by making a system that harnesses the methane gas that comes from shit (human shit works just not as good). They have a cistern that holds all the crap and some bacteria that breaks down the shit. After that the bacteria releases gas in the form of methane. This is along side the methane that animal shit emits already. Yet you can use this just as you would use propane. It burns clean and produces enough energy to heat a whole house and cook with. This is just one of the ways we could slow down the process of climate change.
Now if you look in history there have been several in times that the weather and climate have changed drastically. For instance, one that everyone will know, is the Dust Bowl. This was cause because a lack of moisture. Now I don't know them all, but another one is the Ice Age. Granted it was a long time ago. Yet with me saying that it should raise an eyebrow or a question mark above your head. I agree with you guys that we are going to be facing another "Ice Age". Now this won't just happen over night, and that is for a reason. If you look at everything that make who the Earth you will see that the numbers are very specific. A extreme weather change is only the Earth correcting itself. It is normal and can't be stopped . You see this on a micro scale just I your local area. Pick up a Farmer Almanac and look through it. It shows you everything to deal with the weather. With some knowledge of the past they predict what it will be on that day. Screw the predictions because that is what they are someone's opinion (you can trust very few opinions over true facts). Yet if we look at the weather there will be mini-localized-climate changes. Now I'm not saying that this is just the Earth fixing the wrong. I do think that the accelerated rate at which we are seeing these is because we are so polluting to the world around us. You can see the changes we create (smog, air stagnation, etc.). It will be a matter of time before we see the extreme changes of the onset of Ice Age. Yet I fear that there is no undoing this, because you would have to stop ALL greenhouse gases to stop it from happening.
