I have sent friend requests on my Xbox 360 and the xbox360 smart glass app to people who I know mainly play on xbox1. My questions is do you guys get them? Is there a notification like the 360? I know on the xbox1 there is friends and follower but I don't really know much about the Xbox 1 since I'm mainly on xbox360.
it will show you as having a new follower. when you go into there and select the person then add them they will be on your friends list. sadly there is no notification.
the thing i miss the most is the "so and so is online" notification.

It will just add to followers. Doesn't give a message asking you to accept a friend request.

You'll want to send a message to the person. I personally am not in the habit of checking my new followers.
Every time I see people are online I click to see who's on and that alone will show you notifications

I haven't checked yet but there is a place on the xbox1 to see notifications. On the home menu, it will be on the top left corner. The 1st box on the left then another box to the right of it, which shows the profiles' you can sign in on. I haven't check if the friend request shows there but ill find out once i get home. Just a thought.
