    Communication In Game

    Hey guys,

I don't really know how to address this for the masses and I say this as respectfully as I can.

But I tried to play some games tonight (not all of the party were CAG I hasten to add) and really struggled because the comms was just crazy. To be fair, it was generally related to the game but with a full party and everyone shouting out...very difficult to get it done. Again...I mean no disrespect to anybody, but it did affect my game. In addition, mic levels need to be checked...if I'm asking someone to turn it down a little it's for good reason.

On the flip side I left and partied up with some recruits and a couple of potential recruits...we should see them here soon. Had the pleasure of playing with Stormy tho....dude, you may be 56 years old with arthritis in your hands...but you're a character and a credit to CAG my friend.

So...back on topic, what is CAGs etiquette or method behind comms? Is there some organisation with it? If there are a lot of us...is it better to use squad chat over party chat? Any advice/tips/knowledge...I will accept.

I suppose ultimately, it's very hard to get your shit orchestrated with a full party and lots of intel...but I just wanted to ask.

    Respectfully, Archangel out.

I agree there are sometimes where there's a lot of clutter on the COMs and loud. But there are times where even a full party it nothing but call outs and tactics.

You want to find a balance in between screaming things and being dead quiet.Do your job, tell your team mates when you are doing your job and give updates on your situation. This does not mean, however, that it is all tactics and completely focused game-play.Have fun with the game but do not take away the clan aspect by neglecting proper communication.layser

This is the main reason I don't play battlefield, the poor squad and communication system that it has.

If they were smart, they would add the same com system that SOCOM: Confrontation had, where you had to click a button in order to speak, if you didn't your voice would not go through.....this is needed with more than 20 players in a lobby and that way everyone can hear you only when you need to speak instead of all the time ....

That would be nice. Even for COD lol. Yet I have experienced what y'all are talking about in BF3 and I had to say that is the reason that I didn't like it either. I run with the X:2s and with people yelling and calling out ( which is never really a BAD thing) it gets difficult to hear when someone is running up around a corner or if I can hear them through the walls.

Maybe if you had a point man, in battlefield anyway, considering you have a full squad that squad stays together just like a squad would and you had a point man that was recon or support to call out and the squad rogered up and moved forward that way.

Communication for bf is fine we just have a few guys that get loud and drown out everyone else so your not able to fully work as a team! Joking is fine and all but when you start getting louder than the commanding officer no one is going to be able to hear them

I've never really had an issue with communication with you guys. Seems appropriately on point and fun. Also, Cheech, bf4 only allows communication between five players at a time. What they should do is like I believe halo 2 where there was proximity chat that the enemy could hear. That way you'd need to be quiet around defensive positions and could communicate with blueberries, especially ones you are sharing a vehicle with.

    Re: Communication In Game

That is exactly how SOCOM was, proximity, where you could hear the other team talking so you "had" to be careful during games ...I loved it and miss it!

Agree on the proximity chat thing...that was a groundbreaking and awesome feature back in the day.
