anyone who has played past CoD titles or BF3 should be familiar with soundwhoring. it is the art of listening for footsteps to know where an enemy is or where they are coming from. in BF3 it was very easy provided you had yourself a set of Turtlebeach's. it is still easy in BF4 provided you use the correct audio setting.
the setting you want to use is "War Tapes". you can change your audio settings in game by pressing 'Start' aka the button with three lines on XB1. go to 'Options' ---> 'Audio Settings'. it should be the second option down in the Audio Settings sub-menu. switch that bad boy to 'War Tapes'. make sure you save your new setting.
Happy Whoring!
