also, as a gunner i suggest using thermal optics on all vehicles. in a tank/IFV it will show mines/slams/C4 in bright white and allow you to more easily spot it. you should always be looking/spot spamming for mines/slams/C4 on your way to and from objectives.

    Re: BF4 Vehicle Loadout Guide

a little update for Tank Loadout.

i know they recently decreased the damage of the Staff Shell 25%. before the patch it usually did around 24-26, ususally 25 damage per hit. i'm guessing now it is down to somewhere between 18-20... not sure as i have switched my secondary before the patch.

instead of Staff Shell for secondary i now use Heavy LMG. it is much better for controlling infantry and suicide C4 support/recon. i have been getting C4'd MUCH less often, in fact i usually die from either Engineer rockets (RPG/SMAW) or enemy Armor.

i have always seen people that play competitively using HMG but i had my doubts. well, last game was confirmation without a doubt that it is the way to go. almost pulled a flawless in a tank, 180 enemy tickets left, 25-0 until they finally got me.

now when your using the HMG you have to be far more cautious against enemy armor, especially in the beginning of the round. let the blueberry armor rush in and die first. stay and back and snipe enemy armor with your HE Shell and Zoom Optics. when your fighting enemy Armor 1v1 the only thing you need to be cautious with is Tanks. use corners, walls, pillars, indestructible boxes, hills and elevations in the terrain to your advantage. take your shot and back up. make sure he shots before you expose yourself for a follow up. most people sit still in Tanks when they shoot unless your force them to move, and most don't expect you to keep moving and fire on the move. do so as often as possible. as usual, know when its time to run and repair and when you do run, back up. NEVER give them your booty (rear of the tank).

also be careful if your capping objectives. if the objective is contested, take off and wait for back up. don't try to capture flags that have awnings, roofs or second floors. your an easy, sitting target for some dick to drop C4 on you. try to let your teammates to the majority of the flag capping, but back them up. help against enemies targets as the move to the flag to contest. stick around and help defend the flag as well.

best of luck running Armor fellas. if you guys need more tips or want to run some Armor with me to get the hang of driving let me know. i'll train drivers and gunners/rep bitches.

P.S. don't let the term "rep bitch" disgruntle you. if someone asks you to be their rep bitch, consider it a sort of honor. Armor drivers can be very picky with who they trust to run with them. not only that, but if it wasn't for rep bitches, we as drivers would not be able to have the great rounds that we do. i WOULD NOT have went 25-0 if FSU Noles wasn't as clutch as he was with the repairs.

I think GypsyOutlaw is Spanish for rep bitch

It's going to be difficult to get me away from my double shell setups. I tend to stick my junk in enemy armors' face and run from the infies.

i hear you man. the ideal way to run this setup on maps like Golmud and Shanghai, maps with 2-3 Tanks and IFV's, is staying with but behind someone using the anti vehicle set-up.

another minor update to my MBT loadout - i have switched from HE to Sabot shells. i have been watching a lot of Xfactors vids and that is what he runs and i found out that Sabot's are better for taking out Chopper's because they have a higher velocity so you don't have to compensate for the drop of the shell as much. they are also GREAT for those l33t t4nk 5nipe5.
