BF4 Weapon Guide

I've been trying to unlock attachments for all guns so I haven't used many good ones in awhile. ACE 52 would likely be my goto. Hard to go wrong in the Assault class ... had some great rounds with the FAMAS, ACE 23, L86.

I use the Angled grip a lot, maybe too much, but I notice a difference on many guns. For instance, recently I've been raging using the M16A4 because it is simply terrible out of the box; the recoil sends you to the moon. Then I unlocked the Angled grip and it turned into a serviceable assault rifle.

What I like to do on a map is very map dependent but on many maps I love to go A/T mines and M2 SLAMS and hold the objective closest to their deployment, where all of those delicious vehicles are coming out to play.

For recon you will have to grind it out with the first bolt scout rifle for a while but its actually pretty good with that 6x scope. Wish I had that scope for a few other rifles but DICE is pretty horny about their Battlepacks in this game

Jng-90 is the next rifle to shoot for. Its got good power and not as much drop as the scout rifle.

The best bolt in my opinion is the SRR-61 I believe. Quick handling and you unlock the nice 8x scope for it right away.

I forgot about my 3 rd choice in sniper rifles. Its probaly my favorite rifle even though its 3rd choice. What is it you might ask? The siracha Aka the Sraw. 1 shot one kill.

I'm more of a "counter" sniper so I'm definitely not aggressive unless I'm taking down another sniper, I do run with the SRR 40x all the time just for the fact that I've used it so much I can't hardly used anything less besides 20x. As far as carbines I prefer the ACW-R for its rate of fire and exceptional stability, but it gets kind of finicky past 100-150 yards so I have to pick and choose my battles.

Mtar is better all around range and fire rate for range just change to single shot and it's almost as accurate as some sniper rifles then auto when you want to rip someone a new asshole when there close lol

alright, so another little update for Carbines.

the M4 is my new favorite carbine for Conquest, Rush and sometimes TDM and DOM, provided i know my weakness and don't get into a CQ situation. accessories i am running right now are - Coyote RDS (until i unlock the Kobra RDS), Laser Sight, Flash Suppressor, Angled Grip.

i use the Kobra RDS and Green Laser Sight on every gun once i unlock them. i chose the Flash Suppressor over Heavy Barrel because it adds more Stability. i chose Angled Grip to help control first shot recoil and it drastically reduces it from 2.5 to 1.675.

the range on the M4 is 870 meters compared to the ACE 52's 600. the muzzle velocity on the M4 is 580 compared the ACE 52's 400. M4 beats it on reload time as well, 2.4 seconds with an empty mag and 1.85 with bullets left in the clip compared to 3.1 seconds with and empty mag and 2.3 seconds with bullets left in the clip.

the recoil model of the M4 is very similar to the M16A3 from BF3 while the ACE 52 is pretty much straight up with little to no left and right recoil.

the time to kill is very interesting as well. the M4 beats the ACE 52 in every range up to 90-95 meters. the only range that the ACE 52 had a better time to kill is between 36 and 45 meters. both guns almost even out in time to kill around 90 meters.

the M4 will take anywhere from 1-2 bullets more to kill but your firing three at a time, all of which usually land on target. it should take no more than 3 burst's to kill a person up to 95 meters. provided you hit your first 6 shots, it might only take 7, maybe 8.

the only thing is you need to get used to fast burst firing, but not to fast. if you pull the trigger for a second burst before the first burst finishes the gun won't fire that second burst. once you get used to getting your timing correct between trigger pulls the M4 is quite an amazing carbine, especially at range.
