    You need to start over for your sharpshooter and when you complete your marksman and start your expert badge you'll have to start over again kills don't carry over...

    Yes, I've also figured out how to kill myself with a transport heli.

    In all seriousness, I'm considering switching the controls back to Veteran. I've given the new default a good run since the game released but I think it's hindering my tank driving. Since throttle and turning are tied to the same thumbstick, I think it's difficult to turn while accelerating at the same time.
