First Impressions

It doesnt feel like a cod game in most aspects to me. Im not big on it but might grow. I do like it don't feel like a normal cod game

Heh...to me it looks like all the other past cod games lol...same horrible hit detection and you still get shot from around the corner...I have been watching tons of streams and videos and all the same old shit is still there ...plus that horrible spawn delay in hardcore....that alone is enough to make me not want to buy it..

Indeed Cheech. Some of my killcams show me shooting 2 feet behind the guy when I saw myself putting bullets in his heart. It's the same crap.

I assume that they aren't using dedicated servers yet though, as I've gotten a number of host migrations.



Core really frustrated me for awhile, and still does a bit, because I couldn't find a gun that kills quick enough. I've settled into the MTAR-X, not awesome but working for me, and the AK-12s that I've picked up off of people seem decent.

Yeah Kujs, the hit detection still looks way off in this game, just like all other cod games from inifinty, at least treyarchs's games , black ops and black ops 2 have better hit detection and the spawn delay is just simply stupid.

I don't really like it, but I don't hate it either. The hit detection is still crap and the kick from getting shot is insane. You get killed with 1 shot from a sniper in the leg and yet it takes 15 shots with a rifle to the chest. Seems a little backwards to me, but hey, its COD.

Its pretty animated, and I think the kill streaks SUCK. Same game modes, besides the addition of one or two.. They didn't even bother to update the game sounds so the pistols and nades, flashes, etc sound the same as they did in CoD 4, MW2, and MW3. That to me is just fucking laziness. I don't know if you guys dislike that but I do, I like new and different sounds but they basically took MW3 and put it into this game with different maps and graphics.

Thats why I like 3arc better than IW, I think that their games are more original and enjoyable to play. IW's games are literally the same every year and quite frankly are just animated and boring. MW3 sucked and this game is kinda like MW3 round two........

I have no problem with this game, and I do agree it is just ok. Also it's really all the same style from COD regardless of who makes it, in that they have basically the same thing in it from game to game. As far as the animation goes...it's a video game. Finally as for IW vs 3arch, I'll take IW any day of the week because I think 3arch is only good for making Zombies.

All in all I will play this game, but I think I am just getting tired of the war games in general.

I sat and thought about it all last night weighing up all the pros and cons about this game and decided I will not be making the mistake of wasting £45 of my hard earned cash on it.there we a lot of pros and cons but needless to say these options all came back to the fact that in my personal opinion that ghosts is basically a revamp of mw3.personally I don't need another game that basically is a kill and get killed game based the majority of times on luck.i want the fps that I buy to warrant tactical play and team play/communication and therefore I will not be getting this game

I am in the same boat as you John, almost exactly the same reasons I came up with for not buying this game. The fact that they completely ignored the cries for them to eliminate the spawn delays in MW3 and they decide to add it to Ghosts is just a clear indication that they do not listen to what gamers and fans of COD want to see.

The horrible hit detection is unmistakeable .. I have now seen over 24 hours of streams and videos and the same things that made me stop playing MW3 after a month are all present in Ghosts.

It is going to take some miracle to get me to buy this game .... I can't even say I am disappointed because I honestly expected this from Ghosts.

I would agree right there with not being disappointed.a multi million pound company doesn't have to listen to anyone when it comes to it as the already knew before release of this game that it was goons make sales.lets face it cod is its title and franchise and there's always gonna be a market for it.all I can say is the stuff they needed to correct from the mw2/mw3 days they haven't done so.a lot of what my decision was based on.
