Got Battlefield 4 Last Week

So, I promised myself that I wouldn't buy a new game, since I haven't had a lot of free time to play. I also haven't beaten some of the games I already have, and feel bad buying new games before beating the first one.

However, my wife surprised me this last week with a copy of Battlefield 4. I had Friday off to stay home with my son after Halloween, and she wanted me to have something to do while he was napping, etc.

I love this game. I am about 2 levels away from beating it on Hard, and the multiplayer was just as much fun.

I think I am going to make a switch over to a Battlefield squad...but want to know if there's any availability to move over. Right now, I am with a Black Ops 2 squad. You guys got room for a COD transfer?

It's all open arms from the Battlefield side.

Our squads aren't very tightly defined right now as we haven't had many people on consistently until the past few weeks. Thus, I can't imagine that we would have "no space".

Though recently, we have had some rooms where the whole team was CAG with a CAG's friend or two.

The game has some flaws that really hurt clan organization and I hope or assume they will fix it. There's no squad lobby to get your friends together before going into a server. This was in BF3 so why did they take it out? Also, there's no team chat, as in, if you aren't in an Xbox Live party you can only hear people in your squad (max 5 players), which really hurts call outs and squads supporting other squads. The option to be in squad or team chat was in BF3, again, why did they not include it?

So, right now, we just try to join our CAG brothers' games and we will be in squads with CAG but can't hear all of CAG.

Thanks for the response, Kujeaux. I noticed as I played the single player, that I was competing with your scores. I didn't do too bad, if I may say so.

I'm interested to see how it will work for clans. Thanks again.

I think the commander can talk to all squad leaders.I think they went that way because maybe too much chat on team chat with 12 people, can you imagine what would be like with 32 on xbox1. If possible we need to get a commander in our games and need to squad up as clan much as possible and maybe not be in a party chat.

I'm not trying to say that I would have done better than you b/c I likely wouldn't have. Though, I was playing on Easy mode just to get through it fast in order to unlock the Dog Tags and weapons. Glad that you had someone to compare to.

I've unlocked most of the guns and have tried many of them out in the multiplayer. Feel free to ask me for recommendations. I'll offer some up. My style with guns is that I almost always want them to work at range ... so even if I'm using a PDW which is a very close range weapon, under most situations I want one that can still kill at range.

Assault Rifles:
QBZ-95-1 (unlocked by the campaign, final mission decision)
AEK-971 (melts people's faces but struggles at range)

Carbines (love these as they can be used on all classes):
AK 5C (good starter weapon)
ACW-R (consistent, my most used)
ACE 52 CQB (wow, this has become my goto gun)

LMGs (tough call, I haven't found one that I really love):
Type 88 (decent)
LSAT (decent)
QBB (had high hopes for, it works well but not quite as well as I want)
RPK (my hopes are on this one now, need more time with it)
others I haven't tried but need to

Sounds right ... but we haven't tested if squad leaders can talk to each other ... that would really be stupid if they couldn't.

Wow...I was attaining those scores on Hard. Had no idea your best scores (which were best on my friends list) was on easy.

I was going for bonuses most of the time like head shots, multi-kills, adrenaline kills while you are almost dead (screen gets real grey).

Maybe they did something silly, like not scaling the points based on difficulty, dunno.

That would be stupid, but I'm gonna check it out at home. It was so hard to make sure I hit the numbers on a few levels.
