Multiplayer Unlock Progress

I was curious about everyone's unlock progress. I'll try to set a standard to follow.

If you go to the battlelog Overview, you can quickly see bars for each kit progress, under service stars. I approximate the progress. [Note the play button underneath, for fun give that a press]

10% Assault
100% Engineer
90% Recon
70% Support
15% Commander

For weapons, I went to the Unlocks then Weapons tab. Numbers include the default. You can see the total number on the right in the black bar of the weapon types, such as "Assault Rifles 3/11".

Is that because of a lack of interest or just haven't done it?

If the latter, there are still ways you can be an effective team player and unlock stuff for vehicles.


Little Bird ... go engineer with a repair tool and be a passenger on the side, if you aim the repair tool towards the tail, I think, you can repair damage. Little Bird pilots can be very hard to bring down with a repair guy.

Tank Gunner ... a tank is more effective with a gunner, that's an extra guy looking around and spotting, shooting infantry with his gun, and hopping out to repair the tank when needed. Also, the gunner has specific unlocks which upgrade the tank if you are the gunner. Things like proximity scan which reveals infantry that's close to the tank, and the new incendiary which sets off an incendiary round around the tank to burn close-by enemy infantry.

Just for being in a vehicle, you'll get assist points for the kills that the driver gets.

I'll often drive a tank and you are welcome to hop in and gun.

Maybe I should of said I'm not a good pilot. I have unlocked a lot of the vehicle stuff from playing gunner in the tanks/choppers.
Just not good at flying lol

I need work on that too, badly. I practiced a bit in BF3, not well enough to compete in a match, but lost everything by flying around in GTA (very different controls). I need to retrain my brain.

make sure you use the test range not only all vehicles air,ground and sea but I think they have a firing range of some sort too

AMEN guys...i absolutely suck at flying, can rack a few kills tanking.....but i looooove being a gunner!!!! can sit back and have a smoke, level up and get loadsa kills relatively easy
