The Battlefield 4 gameplay is pretty awesome ... the stuff around it, DICE dropped the ball a bit. No squad lobby, no ability to switch to team chat, the freezes.
Speaking of ammo, losing your whole clip when you reload is annoying ... especially for those guns where you can reload an extra bullet when one is in the chamber.
Goes something like this ....
30 bullets in gun, 90 in pocket
... shoot a dude using 10 bullets
20 bullets in gun, 90 in pocket
... so I reload
30 bullets in gun, 60 in pocket
... crap, i lost those 20 bullets
... run around and coming up to a place where I expect a fight, better reload just in case
... since 1 bullet is in the chamber, it thinks I can add a bullet
31 bullets in gun, 30 in pocket
... wait WHAT, I just lost 30 bullets to put one in?
The first issue, losing the bullets left in your gun when reloading, is a design they said would be in hardcore, not core, but it's in core right now, maybe they'll change it.
The second issue, has got to be a glitch that they must fix, or maybe I'm dreaming it. Can someone confirm? It doesn't happen to all guns.
