I didn't do a Recon one b/c I don't really use sniper rifles, though I do like using the Recon class in situations for the T-UGS and Spawn beacon.
Also, Conquest takes some time to get used to. When I first started Battlefield, I played a lot of TDM b/c it resembles COD a bit more. But I now feel comfortable with, and very much enjoy, Conquest. You might want to try the Engineer class where you can use the Stinger/IGLA to shoot down air vehicles and RPGs/SMAWs/Javelines/A/T mines to take out ground vehicles like tanks.
