I still think they shouldn't be earning a paycheck while the government is shut down, and they should stop earning as long as there is a GDP larger than 3%.
Deficit and worries about debt ceiling/government shutdown are over. However, until Congress stops giving themselves their own pay raises, that is not going to happen.
