So, I have to toot my own horn a little here. Sorry for the length, but you will understand the awesomeness that is about to follow:
Tonight I was playing with my nephew QueenTuggins (he plays on my wife's live account because he doesn't have one and my wife and I each have one). We both have been up since 6:30AM Friday MST, since we had to go to work. We get off, spend some time with the family, and hit the box. We just finished our all nighter, ending in 24 hours of being awake. Damn I am tired.
That is not the part I want to toot, though:
While we were playing our most recent matches, we got put in a pretty decent lobby. I have been working on making all of my guns gold, and after getting the 100 headshots, I take off my attachments and perks and attack the two skins at one time. It's tough, but it helps me get better in the same.
Anyway, so here we are playing. Me with my HAMR with nothing but the gun and a flashbang and concussion. We played decently. I went 10-6, but we lost as a team. The other team was giving a specific "random" on our team a very hard time about how he/she played. Basically picking on this person. They even went as far as to say things like "man, that team sucks, we totally raped them!" etc. The best going 14-11 (really?!?).
So, my nephew and I put on our game faces, switched our loadouts to be what we would use in a competitive scenario, and went at it again. This time ending with us winning, and me going 24-4. After the match, they complained that we were using unfair advantage (using Target Finder on any gun). They said to be real players we should be using no attachments.
Okay, as I always love a good challenge, I took everything off and went back to my HAMR with nothing on it. We played one more round where they lost...again....and I went 16-9. Again, with no attachments, or perks. Just the gun. It's hard, man. Give me a break!
Anyway, we get done and they complain that we were camping the entire round. Which we were not, but it doesn't matter what we did or didn't do, they are only going to believe their perception of the events. I simply said "If it ain't one thing, it's another. Well, it looks like I can't convince you guys, so I am going to go play somewhere else. Thanks for playing and have a good night." And then backed out.
The part that I love about this, is the person we kind of took under our wing (was getting picked on), sent both of us a friend request and a message saying how much fun it was to play with us since we did that for them. We kind of stood up for them.
Not only did I stand up for an "innocent" as I feel they could be labeled, but I calmly and patiently addressed the situation without calling names back, or being rude. I represented the clan in an honorable fashion, helped someone else have fun, had a little fun of my own and kicked A$$ while doing all of that. My head is held a little higher tonight.
Now...I am tired as hell and am going to bed. Good night CAG, have wonderful dreams, and I will see you all on tomorrow!!!
Peace!
