Hey Guys,

I figured something needs to be said before the online game starts. As we all know stocks are going to be a part of GTA V and in the online version. The stocks change based on what is happening in the game. You kill a CEO of a company, the stock might go down and you buy lots, let the stock level back out, and you profit. Simple, right?

Well, sort of. In the online version the game will base stocks off whats happening in game, but there will be more than just you playing, so things get a little whack.

Anybody got any ideas on how we can help the players gain from all the chaos that is going to happen when online starts?

I'm thinking we can round up who/what we think we need to knock off, put out an alert, and then do the dirty deed. What do you guys think?

I'm not sure if anybody has noticed, but in the game Lester has Franklin do a bit of Assassinations. When he does this he gives away a clue on what might happen to the stock that will be involved with the kill. For instance, when Michael takes out the CEO of LifeInvader, Lester mentions that the stock will go down and he will be buying a lot.

After you kill the CEO (phone bomb), you get a link to the site in an email from Lester on the stock market. Anybody can access the site, using the phone's browser, but you look up the company, buy as much stock as you want, and after a few hours of playing, the stock goes back to normal. You profited a ton because you bought it at a very low price.

This same thing happens on all assassination missions Lester has Franklin go do. Again, some CEOs deaths will make the price go down, and some will make the price go up, but either way after a few hours of gameplay, the stock will go back to where it was, so you can profit off the predictable price fluctuation.

I have been told that you can blow up a gas station, which will lower the price of the stocks by that company. If this is true, you can blow up a gas station, buy all the stock you can afford, and then sell when the price levels back out.

I don't know how to blow up a gas station, though. Tried with sticky bombs and nothing happened.

For those who didn't know you could access the stock market in game, do the following:

(This can be done from any character, but Mike has the link in an email from Lester, so it's easiest for him)

**Note** Each character gets their own shot at the stocks. If you spend all of Franklin's money on the stocks, Trevor still has all of his money.

Up Arrow> Web Browser:
Move your cursor over Money and Currency (or something like that). It should be a top topic, next to Travel, etc.:
This takes you to two different stock markets:

1. BAWSAQ
2. LCN

Both markets have different stock to trade, and both have different influence from in game and Social Club aspects.

I hope this helps, and I am looking to get more info on the market side after online kicks off. It is going to be nuts!

Good shit Tuggins! Another quick tip is when you do assassinations he gives you a clue on which stock will rise, so before you do the assassination buy that stock, then sell the stock after the kill. Like you said before buy the stocks of the company at a low proce afterwards and wait till it levels out to sell again... this way ensures your getting two profitable payments!

Good shit...to blow up the gas stations you have to use a gas can and you pour gas all around the gas pumps....I saw my Son do that earlier today...

But good info.. I haven't even played the game yet, I might start later today ...

We need to take advantage of those security trucks too.. someone needs to be on watch so we can heist those all the time to make a quick buck!!

One thing I found was that you have to wait until you make the kill to buy the stock. Sometimes you have to wait until the radio reports on the assassination before the stock will drop. Which makes sense, since nobody knows that the CEO died, therefore nobody sells stock and stock doesn't go down. When the radio blares it, immediately pull up that phone and buy the stock.

My problem is remembering what stock to buy. I never write it down before doing the assassination.
