I was in 10th Grade in Art Class when it happened. I didn't quite understand what the principal was saying but when I saw that first image on the TV, I couldn't think anymore. See in New York we're like family, I was glued to the TV as soon as I got home. I couldn't believe my eyes that this actually happened. Til this day I'm not satisfied in what we've done, I won't be until we whip Al Qeada Off the face of this earth !

I was sitting in the living room putting on my shoes because me and a few buddys were meeting up to hit the beach that day .
That's when the emergency Broadcast System came over and they were showing the first tower on fire .
The bottom banner didn't say nothing about terrorist act . Just said plain had hit NY Sky Rise building .
And then not more than a minute later I watched the second plain hit the building live .
When I seen that I couldn't fucken understand what was going on still .
It wasn't until the news commentator started speaking about other planes that were heading for the white house and were not responding to any one in the sky tower .
Very sad day for america .

I was at MCRD San Diego finishing week 2 of Boot Camp. They had gotten all the recruits together at like 7 or 8 that evening. My heart instantly broke. At the same time, this fueled my desire to serve our great nation. I had no contact with anyone outside of letter writing. I didn't know if I had family or friends that were vacationing in NY. It was one on the toughest days of my life.
