Oh ya it can be two things one the thermostat did not read right so stayed closed and blew a engine cooling line to the engine on the back or. Could be a crack IN the block. I'm hoping its a line.

Heckk yeah!! Would have sucked if the block cracked... I've had that happen before on one of my dads trucks.. it was intense!

I'd go ahead and replace the thermostat also just in case .
