I'm a HORRIBLE Quickscoper. I can snipe, don't get me wrong, but QS is not one of my strongest aspects. There is soooo much more that goes into sniping than QS. There Drag Scoping and Hard Scoping and the ever so wonderful No Scope. It actually takes skill to be able to snipe successfully outside of Hard Scoping the shit out of someone. I mean, if they took it out, oh well. I don't depend on my sniper rifle to get kills. I don't run around and constantly attempt to get feeds and clips. This may just bring the sniping world up another notch. Who knows? Nobody really. But unless the game mechanics changes drastically from the multiplayer reveal, quickscoping is still present.
I find it hard to believe that the are basically shutting down about half of the YouTube COD Community. Most of the content you find on YT from COD is Sniping gameplays. I just will have to see it to believe it. Either way though, I'll get my sniper kills. :P
There will be people who can still run around, plant, and have super great aim and get one shot sniper kills. Good on them. But the aim assist BS where you aren't really that close has got to go. There shouldn't be one or more ppl in EVERY lobby that is trying to quick-scope you. Am I wrong in thinking that drag-scoping is also a product, or at least made easier by, aim assist? I believe that your ability to shoot accurately with a sniper should be a function of duration of time since last moving and your stance (crouch, stand, prone). Aiming right after running or sprinting should be prohibitive, especially when standing. If you just finished sprinting and meet an enemy close to you, the first thought should be to pull out the secondary because there's no way I can take this guy out with a sniper.
I hear what you are saying and many ppl say it ... excluding part of the community. That's the vocal part. What about the people that quit playing because of it. Personally, I've never cared for those videos, maybe a few times when I first saw them EVER.
Heck, let every other COD game have quickscoping (think Treyarch) but give me one every now and then without it.
