Great song that was actually never even written the way it is now originally. Crazy how things work out que no Stormy? Who would of thought?
I remember the first time I heard this song and actually payed attention to it, I was in kindergarten, my uncle the stoner would drive us to school every morning and at the time schools always had air raids for some reason.
One day I remember completely listening to the song and asked my uncle what it really meant, he said it was about war and how our country forced us all into it.
It was 1983 and I remember watching the news and they were talking about the Invasion of Grenada, the song "War Pigs" was all over the news and was playing on a tv station that was local similar to what mtv was. Being 8 years old and being able to comprehend what I was reading made perfect sense the words of this song.
The Grenada Invasion of 1983 was total bs, no students were ever in danger and the US just wanted this war for what? Fun !
Im tired of the way Liberal Politicians change America into this Liberal sespool for thier own agenda. They have turned the American Way into some thing that has become twisted and sick. Unsuportive of any thing that matters most in this country. Christianity, which this country was founded on. The Veterans that made this country what it is today and it once was. We were once the greatest Nation. A Super Power to never be reckoned with! Im ashamed of what we are becoming. I have fought for my country 5 damn times and never as much had a scratch until now. Now our lousy President, whom I believe is trying his best to dismantel our country from within. He is not a Veteran and could never understand our pride! We are the only Heros left of this once great Nation!

That makes me sad to live in Georgia. I can't believe people could be cruel to those who protect us. All you military guys know where I stand, I was in the Air Force for 1 week till I let cause of a knee injury. I ain't went back since cause I didn't want the humiliation again. People just don't know what it's like. My daddy is a Marine. His daddy was in the Army. My Mina's daddy was in the Army. My great grandmothers brothers were on USS Arizona when it was bombed. She lost 2 but the 3rd was at the military hospital on land. My family is military and we proudly represent, the USA flag, Usmc flag for my dad, army flag for my grand fathers and the day I left after graduation for boot camp my daddy put up the USAF flag. People need to wake up and see who deserves respect in this country!!!!!!

I was in boot camp in San Diego on 9/11. They emptied every barracks and had all the recruits in a horseshoe formation just sitting. We had been there for exactly 2 weeks. It was after the evening papers had ran and our Company Commander was holding a copy of the San Diego Newspaper and on the front page was a picture of the airplane as it hit the tower. I can't even explain the amount of hatred I instantly felt towards anyone who would support or even begin to think that it was ok what had happened. That drove me, hell all of us, Drill Instructors included, to train harder, to grow stronger, and become smarter than any piece of shit who really thought they could bring us down.
I deployed twice on active duty. Each time I was thirsty. I wanted justice for my home. I wasn't in a combat MOS so I volunteered for anything remotely combat related. Force Protection needed people for convoys through Fallujah? You bet your ass I went. Kicked in doors, cleared houses, wanted some cocksucker to give me a reason to melt his ass. Never happened. Owell, no biggie.
Now here we are almost 10 years later and it's like people hate the military. Like they are ashamed to see and Color flown. I fly my Red, White and Blue as well as my Crimson and Gold with pride and I dare someone to tell me I can't. I will burn this place to the ground so that all that's left is my Colors.
I am ashamed, fearful and angry at the world that my children will be forced to grow up in. This is not what I was fighting for.

I agree. I went to a conning home trip for some troops. My uncle was coming home from overseas. Along with him, they brought two KIA and that damn Westboro Baptist Church showed its faced and followed the KIA all the way to their damn funeral. How can people do that and teach their kids that its ok?

this is bullshit.
Its really hard to believe something like that happenned!
thank god in my country it will never happen, cause about 90% of us serve in the army and love our army and our country, and I cant wait to serve myself!
our countrys and armys flag is something you see everyday here on buildings and houses, shirts, cars, and it is also a constant part of our lives because war is a part of our life!
im sorry to hear those things happen to you guys..
