As a mostly COD player (in the past, the future is unwritten) ... I'm used to infantry.
I've driven/flown many vehicles in things like GTA but I just feel helpless, especially in the sky, where enemies come along and squash me with their experience.
I was wondering if we could come up with a list of progressive steps that people can work towards in order to get better at vehicles. Here's an example:
Learning Jets (SWAG)
Basically, the steps would give a logical guide as to what to work on next. I guess we could also do this for different infantry classes. Assault: 1. Shoot things (second nature for you, you are human after all) 2. Drop Health Pack for self 2. Drop Health Pack for teammates 3. Defib fallen teammates 4. Using the grenade launcher etc
- Taking off: Learn to Take-off by blah blah blah
- Slow turns: Fly straight, press the right or left bumper, hold for longer turns
- Rolling: Fly straight, press left or right on the left thumbstick to roll all the way around
- Roll turns: Roll to one side or the other then pull back on the left thumbstick
- Figure 8: Perform figure 8s across the map using roll turns
- F8 Strafe Runs: Perform figure 8s around a ground target while putting bullets on target flying straight
- etc, etc, air combat, etc
