for someone of my generation this is really sad to see because i grew up watching this guy.

another sad aspect is that this has become an all too common theme with professional wrestlers.

i'm sure Vince McMahon is rich as fuck in his mansion whipping his ass with 100 dollar bills just thinking of who he will exploit next.

no one is impervious to substance abuse. it's a horrible epidemic in this country. the saddest part of it is if Jake was a normal average Joe Schmo the public's general consensus would be "just another crazy junkie" but because he was a public figure everyone is concerned. that's another thing that has to change. either care about every persons life who has been affected by substance abuse or don't care at all. i guarantee everyone in this clan knows at least one person in their life, be it a friend or a family member, who has dealt with it in some form.

and just so people don't think i am taking a shot at these people - i was a junkie for 7 years. nothing i am proud of or i glorify but it is what it is.

i think there are lot of problems with the wwe you could come up with several stories about ones that die. but what he was dealing with was horrible and i couldnt imagine what took him to that place. sad i remember him bringing his snake against andre the giant that was classic.

I have to admit, I watched this and shed a couple tears....
The 80's and 90's were a great time for wrestling. It was a central part of my childhood.
To see people degrading an industry legend in this way is heartbreaking.
