Facebook Connect, Do You Use It Or Need It?

Ok you guys, I am here at home just checking out the traffic on the website and as always making sure that there is no issues such as lag, errors, not being able to connect to the site or forums and plenty of other things.

After a couple hours today of seeing our forums slow down a bit in terms of loading up on your screen, I looked at our error logs and saw that facebook once again has found a way to fuck shit up and now the culprit is the connect with facebook feature that some of you use.

I have turned it off and I have noticed how much faster the forums are loading now. Our website has no other outside sources that it has to connect to and has to grab images so it loads super fast if it only has to load shit from our server.

So let me know if you guys also notice how much more faster the forums are loading now. If you guys do not see the difference, press the F5 key on your keyboard or clear your cookies and cache on your web browser.

If you guys still don't see a difference and you want the facebook connect back and didn't have a problem in the past with it on please also let me know that.

Nobody likes a website or forum that loads slow all the time, I always want our site and forums to load within acceptable times and with features that make it easier and faster for you guys to access them.

Yeah my stuff in terms of the site is loading a hell of a lot faster.i don't use Facebook connect but I def have noticed the increase in site loading speed.think ur on to a winner dude.

Great you guys ! I knew it was true that it was slowing down the site, it's not going to change anything in terms of you guys signing on to the site, you just wont be able to sign in with your facebook account if I decide to completely turn it off.

I am going to wait a few days maybe a week or so. I hope to see more feedback on this

Yeah did notice it was slower trying to get the page to load . But now its good .

yeah everything is loading much faster for me. i don't have a facebook anymore so it makes no difference for me brother. but the website is working better for me today.

Yeep, I have been monitoring this shit and I have had no lag in load times now...I like it...
